✓ Founders sharing a deck and a data room with many investors who want per-page view data
✓ Small advisory teams that prefer seats included in a flat plan over a fee for every user
✓ Technical teams that want to host the code themselves
✓ Anyone who wants to start on a free plan before paying for a data room tier
— Formal multi-party sales that need an enterprise vendor's project support
— Teams already standardized on Dropbox that want eSignature in the same account
— Founders sharing one document with a few trusted readers, where a shared folder is enough
— Teams that need a security report in hand before choosing, until the vendor supplies it
Papermark pricing: flat plans with seats included
Papermark prices by plan, not by viewer or by page. Its pricing page shows four plans, Free, Pro, Business and Data Rooms. Each includes a set number of team members, and the Business and Data Rooms cards show a separate rate for every extra one. Visitors are unlimited, and the data room page says no plan charges per viewer.
The page has a monthly and annual toggle, a currency toggle and a calculator that totals a plan from team members, contract term and data room needs. This guide was read on October 31, 2026 and leaves every amount on that page, because the amounts change with the currency toggle and the billing term.
What each plan adds, step by step
- Free: one team member, 50 links, 50 documents, unlimited visitors, page-by-page analytics and sharing controls, with no credit card.
- Pro: everything in Free plus unlimited links, 100 documents, large file uploads, custom branding, Papermark branding removed, folders, video and more file types.
- Business: everything in Pro plus three team members, 1,000 documents, a custom domain for documents, multi-file sharing, unlimited folder levels, email verification, allow and block lists, screenshot protection, webhooks and API access.
- Data Rooms: everything in Business plus unlimited data rooms and data room visitors, unlimited encrypted storage, no file size limit, a custom domain and branding for data rooms, data room analytics, NDA agreements, dynamic watermarks, file-level permissions, viewer groups and 24/7 email support.
How the bill is built: seats, add-on members and the total
- Seats: Free and Pro include one team member, Business and Data Rooms include three, and the Business and Data Rooms cards show a rate for each additional member.
- Term: the page offers monthly and annual billing, and the calculator offers one month, six months or one year.
- Tier: the calculator asks whether you need no data rooms, multi-file sharing or unlimited data rooms.
- Viewers: outside readers do not add to the bill, so seats are only the people who manage the room.
Where Papermark's own pages differ
- Data Rooms tiers: the pricing page shows two tabs, Base and Plus. The data room page lists four tiers by included seats, three, five, ten and unlimited, and the cost post names five tiers from Data Rooms to Custom.
- Free plan: the pricing page lists 50 documents, while the comparison post says the free plan has unlimited documents.
- Plan names: the pricing page shows Pro, while the comparison post lists a Starter plan.
- Trial: the pricing page puts the 7-day trial on the Data Rooms plan, while the cost post says all paid plans have one.
- Treat the pricing page as the current plan statement and the blog posts as the vendor's positions.
Billing terms to read before you pay
- The terms took effect October 1, 2025 and say the services are sold as subscriptions that renew automatically at the then-current quantity.
- Ending a term takes written notice at least thirty days before it ends for subscriptions under a year, and at least sixty days for a year or more. A self-serve customer with a payment method on file can end the subscription in the admin console before the renewal term begins.
- A trial can turn into a charge at its end if a payment method is on file and auto-renewal is not switched off.
- The terms let Papermark change rates with at least thirty days' notice before the next charge and reserve the right to change renewal prices.
How to size a plan to your budget and timeline
Count the people who will manage the room, such as founders, counsel and an advisor, because they are the seats. Check whether you need NDA gating and watermarks, which the pricing page puts on the Data Rooms plan, or only links and folders. Then run the calculator with the currency toggle set for the US and the term that matches your timeline.
